Woman, 77, killed by car while walking in Calizzano

Ivana Melogno, 77, was killed by a car in Calizzano, a town in Italy’s Savona province.

She was walking beside the road with her husband and 12-year-old grandson on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened on Via XXV Aprile as people were returning from a local autumn festival.

The car reportedly lost control for reasons still unclear and struck pedestrians after hitting a wall.
