Princess Mononoke LEGO Set Reaches 10,000 Supporters

A fan-designed Princess Mononoke LEGO set has passed 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, a platform where builders submit creations for possible production.

The set, called “The Forest of Spirits,” was submitted by a user named Briquette in March 2025.

Its roughly 2,550 pieces depict the forest and characters from the Studio Ghibli film, including San, Ashitaka and his elk, Yakul.

Reaching 10,000 supporters qualifies the design for LEGO’s product review, but it does not mean LEGO has approved the set.

LEGO has rejected other Ghibli-inspired designs in past reviews.

The set is scheduled for review in January 2027, as Princess Mononoke approaches its 30th anniversary that year.
