Strata Minerals identifies new gold targets at Western Australia’s Zelica project
Strata Minerals has identified untested gold targets at its Zelica project in Western Australia’s Yundamindra District.
An airborne magnetic survey covering about 27.8 square kilometres mapped geological patterns beyond the known gold deposits.
The survey found parallel magnetic zones beside known mineralisation that have not yet been checked by drilling or surface geochemistry.
Zelica has a maiden resource of 814,000 tonnes grading 1.61 grams of gold per tonne, containing 42,000 ounces of gold.
Less than 15% of the 9.5-kilometre corridor has been systematically tested, leaving much of the area unexplored.
Strata plans surface sampling and further mapping to rank the new targets before deciding whether to drill them.
The company is also doing pre-development work with BML Ventures and says it is aiming for a fast track to production in 2027.
Strata Minerals says an airborne magnetic survey has identified untested structural trends that could be gold targets at its Zelica project in Western Australia.
The survey covered about 27.8 square kilometres at 50-metre line spacing.
The interpretation identified magnetic lows parallel to known gold mineralisation, which have not yet been tested by drilling or surface geochemistry.
Strata plans surface geochemistry and further mapping to rank the targets for potential drilling.

- Who
- Strata Minerals, an Australian-listed company.
- What
- A magnetic survey identified untested structural trends as potential gold targets at the Zelica project.
- When
- The survey and its findings were reported on October 28, 2026.
- Where
- The Zelica project in Western Australia’s Yundamindra District.
- Why
- The survey was used to clarify the geology and identify prospective structures beyond known mineralisation.
This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
Less than 15% of Zelica’s 9.5-kilometre gold corridor had been systematically tested.
Strata reported that interpretation of its high-resolution airborne magnetic survey had identified untested structural trends.
The company plans targeted surface geochemistry and follow-up mapping to rank areas before potential drilling.
Strata and BML Ventures see a fast track to gold production at Zelica.

What people are saying
The value of this survey is that it gives us a much clearer view of the broader Zelica system and is already highlighting previously untested structural trends beyond the known mineralisation where we have just defined a maiden mineral resource that is open at depth and along strike
