Sam Darnold to miss Seahawks' Week 9 game with quad injury
Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold will miss Week 9 with a quad injury, coach Mike Macdonald said Wednesday.
The Seahawks will start Drew Lock against the Arizona Cardinals at home on Sunday.
Darnold also cracked a rib during Seattle's Week 8 loss to the Chicago Bears, but played through the game.
Macdonald described Darnold as week to week, and Seattle does not expect to place him on injured reserve.
Lock has an elbow injury and has not thrown much, so his readiness is also a concern.
