Norway tourism board turns Trump’s insult into toilet promotion

Donald Trump called Norway a “shithouse country” at a rally in Michigan after he again missed out on the Nobel Peace Prize.

Norway’s tourism board, Visit Norway, answered with humor, showcasing public toilets across the country.

The toilets sit along scenic routes and include designs overlooking fjords, rivers and other landscapes.

Some have won international architecture awards, and one at the Stegastein viewpoint was ranked among the world’s 10 best public toilets by a design magazine.

The dispute follows Trump’s anger at the Nobel decision, which went to South African jurist Navi Pillay.

Visit Norway turned the insult into tourism promotion rather than responding with anger.

The board said its social media response drew a strong reaction, but no further action was announced.
