Knicks fans name their son Knickson Fyve after NBA Finals win

Actor and filmmaker Vance Bradford and his wife, Yvonne Gonzalez, named their son Knickson Fyve after the New York Knicks won the NBA Finals.

The Queens-based couple had planned different names before changing their choice as the Knicks advanced through the playoffs.

They chose Knickson and then added Fyve, echoing the phrase “Knicks in Five.”

The team ended a 53-year wait for a championship this summer.

Their son was born on August 8, 56 days after the Knicks won the title.

Bradford’s mother had been a Knicks scorekeeper during the team’s previous championship season in 1972-73.

The unusual name drew criticism on social media, though the couple said they were happy with their choice.
