Tusk links Polish school attacks to online glorification of violence
Three attacks at schools in central Poland and Warsaw this week left a caretaker dead and many people injured, including children.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the violence may have been inspired by online content that glorifies attackers.
He said authorities had seen more online searches for Nazi material and mass killers, and that some people detained were linked to far-right circles.
Police detained 117 people nationwide for carrying weapons or threatening attacks, and checked about 64,000 schools.
Rumours of more attacks led some schools to suspend classes on Friday.
Tusk said police checks would continue into next week.

These are very often spontaneous actions inspired by online activity
We are not dealing with any group organized on a big scale
This is essentially a copycat scenario, something of a long trail of attackers going back to at least 2019, if not decades earlier
fascination and membership in these online practices can lead to very negative consequences
