Polyphia Release New Album Be Not Afraid
Instrumental band Polyphia have released Be Not Afraid, their new album.
The group’s sound combines virtuosic guitar playing with influences from pop, electronic dance music, hip-hop and video-game soundtracks.
The album includes some of Polyphia’s heaviest songs yet, with more direct nods to metal than their previous work.
The band includes guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, bassist Clay Gober and drummer Clay Aeschliman.
Henson and LePage use digital amp modeling, which they say can sound better than recording with a physical amplifier.
After touring in 2022 and 2023, the band devoted much of 2024 and all of 2025 to making the album; no next step is stated.

What people are saying
This sounds worse.
So having the fake version of all the things is kind of sick.
It just takes away the magic and the mojo.
