ROG Zephyrus G14 owner says 16 GB of RAM was missing after repair

A Netherlands-based owner says their Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 came back with half its RAM missing after a warranty repair.

The 2023 laptop had 32 GB of memory before its motherboard was replaced, the owner says, but its BIOS now shows 16 GB.

This model has 16 GB soldered to the motherboard and another 16 GB on a removable memory module.

The repair required transferring that module to the replacement motherboard, so it may have been missed during reassembly.

The owner suspects the module may have been stolen, but there is no evidence establishing theft.

The owner says they gave Asus a purchase receipt and have spent several weeks trying to resolve the issue, while Asus support has not acknowledged the missing memory.

The reason for the missing 16 GB remains unclear, and no resolution is reported.
