Indonesia Reports Rp3,923 Trillion in Investment Over Two Years

Indonesia's investment minister says investor confidence remains high despite changes in the global economy.

Rosan Roeslani made the comments at a business meeting in Jakarta.

He said the country recorded Rp3,923.2 trillion in investment from the fourth quarter of 2024 to the third quarter of 2026, during President Prabowo Subianto's first two years in office.

From January to September 2026, investment reached Rp1,539.2 trillion, 75.4 percent of the government's target for the year.

It supported more than 2.19 million jobs during that period.

Rosan said direct investments, such as building factories and smelters, require long-term commitment, so investors look for political stability, security and predictable business conditions.

He stressed that the figures represent investment already made, not just agreements or memorandums of understanding.
