Steven Borden says he has no immediate plans to copy Sting’s look

Steven Borden is building his own identity in AEW, the wrestling company where he is early in his career.

He is the son of wrestling legend Sting, whose face paint, trench coat and baseball bat are familiar parts of his character.

Borden has been teaming with Darby Allin, who previously had a successful partnership with Sting.

Borden has no immediate plans to recreate his father’s look, saying he does not want to play Sting’s greatest hits.

Allin agrees that any tribute should feel genuine and come from Borden, rather than being handed to him as a ready-made character.

The choice matters because Borden wants to make his own mark instead of starting out in his father’s shadow.

He is taking his AEW journey week by week, and future tributes remain possible when the timing feels right.
