Mossos identify 26-year-old missing after Pineda de Mar floods

Catalan police identified a missing 26-year-old man after witnesses said someone fell into a stream in Pineda de Mar, near Barcelona.

The incident happened on October 4, during torrential rain that caused the stream to run strongly.

Two witnesses said a young man fell into the water, and investigators believe the current may have carried him towards the sea.

His family reported him missing, and police linked him to the person seen falling.

Search teams looked across the stream and nearby coast but did not find him, and emergency services later paused their operation.

Police are still investigating and trying to locate him, but the man’s whereabouts remain unknown.
