‘Black Doves’ returns to Netflix with a six-episode second season
The spy thriller Black Doves is back on Netflix with six new episodes, nearly two years after its first season.
Keira Knightley plays Helen Webb, a spy who has built a family life with politician Wallace, now Britain’s prime minister.
Ben Whishaw returns as Sam, Helen’s close friend and a hitman for hire.
Helen’s handler Reed has gone missing, while Sam is being pressured by a mysterious operative to carry out killings.
A planned peace summit gives the story a high-stakes backdrop, as Helen’s work brings her close to British political power.
The season mixes action and espionage with humour and emotional scenes, though its far-fetched plot requires viewers to suspend disbelief.
The new season is made up of six hour-long episodes and is available to watch now.
