Cannindah drilling extends copper-gold zone in Queensland

Cannindah drilling extends copper-gold zone in Queensland

Cannindah Resources extended a copper-gold drill intercept to 135 metres at its Mt Cannindah project in Queensland.

The interval grades 1.12% copper equivalent, a measure combining the value of copper, gold and silver.

A second hole returned an 88-metre interval and extended the interpreted zone about 25 metres east and 50 metres north.

The new mineralisation lies beyond the current resource outline but within the limits of a potential open pit, where it can inform future geological modelling.

The latest Cannindah Breccia resource estimate is 23.2 million tonnes grading 0.93% copper equivalent.

The Southern Shoot remains open to the south and at depth, and the company is drilling to test how far it extends.

Two rigs are drilling, with more assay results pending from holes in the Cannindah Breccia and Southern Porphyry; any resource change would depend on a new estimate.

This diamond extension shows that mineralisation continues beyond the end of the original RC drill hole intersection, extending the Southern Shoot approximately 25m to the east and 50m to the north

This data was previously unavailable for inclusion in the most recent MRE and hence indicates additional growth within the current MRE

The Southern Shoot remains open to the south and at depth. Our drilling is testing these extensions as we speak to establish how far the mineralised system continues
