Mohammad Amir denies plans to enter the IPL 2027 auction
Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir denied plans to enter the IPL 2027 auction, saying the reports are untrue.
The 34-year-old has a UK passport and has played in English cricket as a local player.
His registration for the Afghanistan Premier League draft as a UK national prompted the speculation about the IPL.
Pakistan players have not appeared in the IPL since its first season in 2008, amid political and diplomatic tensions.
British citizenship has provided a route for a former Pakistan international before: Azhar Mahmood played in the IPL on a British passport.
Amir has not said he will register, and the auction is scheduled for December 16 in Goa.
Whether he enters the auction remains unclear.
