Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s Ryoka Fujisawa creates six Gusto menu items
Mrs. GREEN APPLE keyboardist Ryoka Fujisawa created six dishes for a collaboration with Gusto, a family restaurant chain in Japan.
The menu includes a spicy stew that recalls meals Fujisawa ate after rehearsals and shows when the band was starting out.
The collaboration runs at Gusto from October 22 to December 2, with the dishes being introduced at its restaurants.
Fujisawa also selected a playlist of Mrs. GREEN APPLE songs to play in Gusto locations during the promotion.
Some dishes draw on the favorite foods of bandmates Motoki Ohmori and Hiroto Wakai, and Fujisawa said he designed a tomato pizza with Ohmori’s dislike of tomatoes in mind.
The menu and in-store music aim to make the collaboration an experience, not just a set of special dishes.
Limited-edition goods will also be offered, and the menu’s planned supply is the largest for a Gusto collaboration so far.
