Patriots expect Mack Hollins to return to practice Wednesday

Patriots receiver Mack Hollins is expected back at practice Wednesday after missing four games with a calf injury.

He has been on injured reserve, a status that has kept him out of action.

His return to practice would start a 21-day window for New England to decide whether to activate him or shut him down for the season.

The Patriots could activate Hollins at any point in that period, so he could play as soon as Sunday against the Packers.

Before his injury, he had 15 catches for 209 yards in the team’s first four games this season.

His return could help a Patriots receiving group that also has Romeo Doubs on injured reserve, while A.J. Brown missed Week 8 with a knee injury.
