Banca March to launch Luxembourg subsidiary and Lisbon business centre in 2027
Banca March will expand beyond Spain, making Luxembourg the base for its international growth.
The Spanish bank has operated in Luxembourg since 2012 through a branch, but it will become a separately licensed subsidiary on 1 January 2027.
The bank says the subsidiary will serve as its operational, legal and strategic centre for growth outside Spain.
Banca March plans to open a business centre in Lisbon in early 2027, structured as a branch of its Luxembourg subsidiary.
From Luxembourg, it expects to distribute investment products across the European Union more easily under UCITS rules.
It also plans to expand alternative investments and ways for clients to co-invest alongside the bank.
The new structure is intended to support wider international distribution and reach new markets and customers.
