Russia says more than 30 drones were downed over Rostov region

Russian officials said more than 30 drones were downed over Rostov region overnight on November 2.

The region is in southern Russia, near Ukraine, and officials said drones were also downed in Krasnodar region and over the Black and Azov seas.

Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusar said drones were intercepted in several districts, including Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, which was reportedly targeted on October 31.

Ukrainian forces said they struck a plant there that produces rocket fuel, but Russian military officials did not confirm that earlier strike.

No injuries were reported in Rostov region after the latest drone attack.

Ukrainian monitoring channels reported a fire at a Transneft facility in Samara region, where the main drone attack was said to have hit.

Russian authorities have not stated what happens next.
