Triple H Wants Bobby Roode to Take on a Bigger WWE Creative Role
Triple H wants Bobby Roode to grow into a bigger backstage role at WWE, according to longtime producer Michael Hayes.
Hayes said Triple H asked him to mentor Roode and help prepare him to carry on Hayes’ work.
Roode began working as a backstage producer after a neck injury in 2022 forced him to step away from in-ring competition.
Since then, he has been learning the production and creative side of WWE television.
Roode joined WWE in 2016 after building a career in TNA Wrestling, and won several titles, including the NXT and United States championships.
The plan could give WWE a future creative figure with experience as a performer, while allowing Roode to remain in wrestling outside the ring.
Hayes said Roode has made progress and advised him to accept that some situations in wrestling are beyond his control; no specific timeline for his development was given.
