Taiwanese business association in Yulin appoints new chair

The Yulin Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprises Association appointed Xie Guben as its new chair at a ceremony in Yulin, Guangxi, on October 22.

The event also brought together association leaders from southwestern and northwestern China for their 60th meeting.

Xie has worked in manufacturing since 1990, setting up factories in several Chinese cities, including Yulin.

He has also taken part in services for Taiwanese residents wherever he worked.

Xie said he would help Taiwanese business owners in Yulin solve problems and become more involved in local development.

The association has been active for 13 years, supporting members and helping connect businesses with local government.

Yulin officials hope the new leadership will strengthen business links and cooperation on industrial projects.

The city government said it would continue supporting the association and Taiwanese businesses investing and living in Yulin.
