Patrick Sébastien sells Boulogne-Billancourt home to fund cabaret

Patrick Sébastien is selling his home near Paris to help pay for a new cabaret.

The 72-year-old former television host says he plans to make Martel in the Lot his main home, where he has owned a house for 50 years.

His cabaret, called Chez Patoche, is in La Chapelle-aux-Brocs in Corrèze, about 30 kilometres from Martel.

It is due to open on November 19 as what he calls the “smallest cabaret in the world.”

Sébastien says he will be on stage throughout the show, with performers including dancers, singers and transformists.

He says the cabaret will host its revue through May 31, then continue with other events while he tours during the summer.

The move marks his planned departure from the Paris region, though he says he may return occasionally and stay in a hotel.
