McRib returns to select McDonald’s locations on October 27

McDonald’s is bringing back the McRib for a limited time starting October 27.

The sandwich will be sold at select locations in cities including Miami, Chicago and Dallas, as well as Atlanta, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

It is made with boneless pork, barbecue sauce, onions and pickles on a bun.

The McRib has appeared on and off menus since it was introduced nationwide in 1982, and its limited availability has helped build a following.

In 2025, a lawsuit alleged that the sandwich’s name and shape could mislead customers about whether it contains rib meat.

McDonald’s disputed the claims and said the McRib is made with 100 percent boneless pork.

Customers can check the McDonald’s app to see whether a nearby restaurant is serving it; the company has not said how long it will be available.
