Hanil Cement tops South Korean quality index in three categories
Hanil Cement ranked first in three categories in South Korea’s 2026 Korea Satisfaction Quality Index: cement, dry mortar and ready-mixed concrete.
The company has now placed first for 17 straight years in cement, 18 in dry mortar and seven in ready-mixed concrete.
The index measures product quality and customer satisfaction through surveys of consumers and product experts.
Hanil uses AI drones to check factory stock and equipment, aiming to improve production management and reduce safety risks for workers.
It has also developed an AI-controlled mortar system that adjusts water and pumping pressure to site conditions, which could reduce quality differences between workers.
Its certified concrete products are designed to retain strength in temperatures as low as minus 10°C and stay workable for up to three hours at 35°C, helping address cold-weather curing costs and hot-weather construction delays.
Hanil plans to bring its mortar system into commercial use and says it will continue developing products and improving production and construction technology.
Hanil Cement ranked first in three categories in the 2026 Korea Standards Quality Excellence Index.
It placed first in Portland cement for the 17th consecutive year, dry mortar for the 18th year and ready-mixed concrete for the seventh year.
The company said special products and artificial intelligence technologies for production and construction helped strengthen its competitiveness.
Its cold-resistant concrete is designed to meet strength standards at temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius without separate heating equipment.
Its high-retention concrete can remain workable for up to three hours at an average temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.
