Anglesey pupils meet astronaut Frank Rubio after sending badge to space
Pupils at Ysgol Cemaes on Anglesey spoke virtually with NASA astronaut Frank Rubio on Wednesday, asking about life and work in space.
Rubio is set to be part of the crew for the Artemis III mission.
He also spent 371 days aboard the International Space Station after a fault delayed the spacecraft meant to bring him and his fellow astronauts home.
Earlier this year, the pupils designed a badge that was sent to the station, where they later saw it float in zero gravity.
The meeting built on the school's links with the space industry, helped by former pupil and scientist Dr Melanie Coathup.
The school plans to design another badge and send it to space next year.

The most interesting thing I've done today is learning about NASA and Frank Rubio.
In the school today, we've been learning about Frank Rubio. We learned that if you're sick in space, there are medical kits to help.
We've been learning about Frank Rubio and that he was supposed to stay in space for six months, but he ended up staying there for a year.
because no other schools in Wales will get that experience
