AEW wrestler Rebel named honorary board member of I AM ALS

AEW wrestler Rebel has been named I AM ALS’s first honorary board member.

Rebel, whose real name is Tanea Brooks, said she was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, in May 2026.

I AM ALS is a patient-led group advocating for people living with the disease.

Rebel joined as an ambassador in June and has used her platform to raise awareness and encourage support for better access to treatment.

Her advocacy has also included efforts to extend federal laws supporting ALS research and treatment access.

In September, AEW devoted a special episode of Dynamite to Rebel and supported ALS-related causes.

In her new role, she plans to keep sharing her experiences and promoting I AM ALS’s work.
