Yemen government says Huthis attacked Aden airport again
Yemen’s internationally recognised government said Huthi rebels attacked Aden’s international airport in the southern port city of Aden.
The state news agency said the airport was hit by several ballistic missiles, but there were no initial reports of damage or casualties.
The government said the airport had been attacked six times in recent days, while another headline described this as the second targeting, so the reported count is unclear.
Officials warned the attacks could endanger passengers, crews and airport staff and disrupt travel and humanitarian aid.
The Huthis had earlier called for the airport to be evacuated, alleging that a Saudi military transport plane was bringing weapons there; Saudi Arabia did not comment.
A ceasefire between the Huthis and the government had held since 2022, with Saudi Arabia backing the government, but fighting escalated again in July during the Iran war.
No next steps were reported.
