Dutch startups raised €3.1 billion in the first nine months of 2026

Dutch startups and scale-ups attracted about €3.1 billion in published investment in the first nine months of 2026.

That was 24.8% more than the roughly €2.47 billion recorded in all of 2025.

Q3 brought in about €799 million, down 38.4% from Q2, when unusually large funding rounds helped lift investment to about €1.3 billion.

Two rounds of around €200 million, for General Intuition and Euclyd, were among the main drivers in Q3.

A small number of large deals still shape the overall total, while the typical funding round was about €3 million.

Early-stage activity was mixed: pre-seed deals rose from six in Q2 to 11, but seed deals fell from 23 to 20.

Pre-seed and seed investment remains behind 2025's pace, leaving the pipeline of new startups a concern even as later-stage funding grows.
