Water supply to stop for five hours in parts of Ulsan

Ulsan’s water authority will stop tap water to about 3,918 households in parts of Mugeo-dong, in Nam-gu.

The outage is scheduled from 11:50 p.m.

on Nov.

3 until 5 a.m.

on Nov.

4, lasting about five hours.

The shutdown is part of an investigation into possible leaks in the water network.

Officials say the Mugeo 3 block has a water collection rate of about 83%, meaning some treated water is not being billed to customers.

They will close valves in nine sections in turn and track changes in water flow to find suspected leaks and explain the low rate.

Residents are advised to store water before the outage and run their taps after service returns, as the water may briefly look cloudy.

The authority has not given a later update or further timetable for the investigation.
