Telecinco removes Rueda la letra from weekend schedule
Spanish broadcaster Telecinco is dropping Rueda la letra from weekends after nearly two months on air.
The quiz show, hosted by Carlos Sobera, will continue Monday to Friday from 19:00 to 20:00.
It was designed to compete with Pasapalabra and uses El Rosco, a quiz format associated with that rival show.
On weekends, Rueda la letra averaged 637,000 viewers and a 7.5% audience share, below Telecinco’s monthly average.
Telecinco will give its vacated weekend hours to Fiesta, hosted by Emma García, which will run from 16:00 to 21:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
The weekday broadcasts are staying for now, but the channel will later decide whether to continue the show; one account says episodes have been recorded only through 24 November.
