YouTuber agency apologizes after staff member removes and insults creators’ signatures

A staff member removed and insulted creators’ signatures at a takoyaki restaurant in Osaka, Japan.

The signatures belonged to several online creators and were displayed on the restaurant’s wall.

A video of the incident spread on X, showing the staff member calling the signatures rubbish.

Saionji’s agency, Travelation, admitted the conduct was unacceptable and apologized to the affected creators and its supporters.

Saionji is a railway and travel YouTuber whose channel has about 920,000 subscribers, according to one source.

The company says it will severely discipline the staff member and an on-site manager, but it has not shared specific penalties.

The restaurant also apologized, while it remains unclear whether the removed signatures were discarded.

The company’s next steps and any prevention measures remain unclear.
