Groww profit rises 54% as revenue depends less on equity derivatives
Groww’s parent, Billionbrains Garage Ventures, reported a 54% rise in quarterly profit for the three months ending September 30, 2026.
The Bengaluru-based company runs the Groww stockbroking and wealth platform.
Its net profit reached ₹725.65 crore, compared with ₹471.34 crore a year earlier.
Revenue also increased, though reports gave different figures: one said ₹1,501.53 crore, while another said ₹1,541 crore.
Equity derivatives made up 44.8% of revenue, down from 56.9% a year earlier, as Groww expands other areas such as commodities and margin trading.
The shift matters because regulatory changes have affected derivatives trading activity across brokers, while Groww is seeking to broaden its revenue base.
Groww said derivatives’ contribution could recover after recommendations in a SEBI consultation paper take effect; no timing was given.

What people are saying
While the share of equity derivatives in total income declined 12 per cent y-o-y, driven by market adjustments to CAS, we believe this will recover once the recommendations from SEBI’s consultation paper go into effect.
