Saudi Arabia issued 58,000 certificates of origin in September

Saudi Arabia issued 58,000 certificates of origin in September, a 9.7% increase from August.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources provides these certificates to businesses and individuals exporting goods.

The certificates confirm where exported goods were made and help exporters meet rules in destination markets.

They cover exports to Gulf countries, other Arab countries and markets with or without preferential trade agreements.

The increase supports Saudi Arabia’s push to grow manufacturing and non-oil exports as it works to reduce dependence on oil.

The National Industrial Strategy aims to raise annual manufacturing goods exports to more than SR557 billion by 2030 and SR892 billion by 2035.

The ministry aims to make exporting easier through online applications, while regional transport disruptions continue to create uncertainty for businesses.
