Attack on Saudi airport kills one and injures eight

An attack on King Fahd International Airport killed one person and injured eight on Wednesday.

The airport is in Dammam, in eastern Saudi Arabia near the Persian Gulf.

Saudi authorities said the airport suffered material damage, and flights were diverted away from it.

The Houthis have not commented on the attack, which comes amid a wider wave of strikes against Saudi airports and other sites.

The Saudi coalition said it intercepted four drone attacks in the Eastern region.

Recent drone-related incidents have also caused civilian deaths, including at an oil field in southeastern Saudi Arabia, underscoring risks to people and key facilities.
