Mustapha Brouzi seeks to have Ceuta drug case annulled
Mustapha Brouzi’s defence has asked Spain’s National Court to annul a drug case linked to the discovery of a second suspected drug tunnel in Ceuta.
Brouzi is a Moroccan businessman from Fnideq, near Ceuta, and a major person under investigation in the case.
His lawyers say investigators withheld important information from the judge when seeking permission for investigative measures, including surveillance.
The dispute centres on an April 2025 meeting in San Roque, Cádiz, between Brouzi, a retired Civil Guard officer and two other Civil Guard agents.
The defence says the agents were trying to recruit Brouzi as an informant, but investigators did not tell the judge this and treated the men as unidentified suspects.
The lawyers argue this led to investigative measures being extended for months, and want the charges against Brouzi dismissed.
The request is before the National Court; no decision on it is stated.
