Powderfinger announce first tour in 17 years
Powderfinger, a rock band from Brisbane, has announced its first tour since the group split 17 years ago.
The band confirmed its reunion last week and says it is excited to play together again.
The tour will start with four nights in Brisbane next September, followed by 14 shows in Cairns, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
Every show will be held in a large tent, and performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights.
Powderfinger released seven studio albums, including 2000’s Odyssey Number Five, and is known for songs such as “My Happiness” and “These Days.”
The reunion gives longtime fans a chance to see the band play again and gives newer fans a chance to see it live for the first time.
No dates outside Australia have been announced.
