Real Madrid beat Valencia 3-0 for eighth straight win

Real Madrid beat Valencia 3-0 on Saturday, extending their winning streak to eight games.

Federico Valverde opened the scoring, Arda Güler added a second and set up Kylian Mbappé for the third.

The result puts Madrid level with Barcelona on points at the top of LaLiga, ahead of Barcelona’s match against Atlético Madrid on Sunday.

The run follows Madrid’s loss to Atlético on September 20, after which José Mourinho said his team had stayed calm and worked on its weaknesses.

Valencia finished with 10 players after José Gayà was sent off late in the match.

Madrid next play Celta Vigo at home after a two-week international break, and Mourinho said he was concerned about his players’ recovery while away with their national teams.
