Freddy Peralta Faces His Former Brewers Team in World Series Game 3

Freddy Peralta will start for Tampa Bay against Milwaukee in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday.

The Brewers lead the series 2-0, so a win would put them one victory from taking the title.

Peralta spent eight seasons with Milwaukee, where he became a two-time All-Star and a much-loved pitcher.

The Brewers traded him to the Mets in January, and the Rays acquired him from the Mets at the trade deadline.

A loss would leave Tampa Bay needing four straight wins to take the series.

Peralta knows many of the Brewers’ hitters well, while they know his pitches, making the matchup familiar to both sides.

The Rays are counting on him to keep their season alive and cut Milwaukee’s lead to 2-1.
