Police seek 15-year-old Anaïs Nezzar after disappearance in Gironde

Gendarmes are searching for 15-year-old Anaïs Nezzar after she went missing in Créon, in France’s Gironde department.

She was last seen near Robert-Badinter high school at about 10 a.m.

on Friday, 9 October 2026.

She is 1.68 metres tall, slim, with long brown hair often tied back with a black headband, and has scars on her right shoulder and arm.

When last seen, she wore grey jogging trousers, a black-and-green T-shirt, white Crocs and a navy-and-black padded jacket marked “Paris” on the collar.

The gendarmerie has issued a witness appeal and asks anyone with information that could help locate her to call the Tresses brigade on 05 57 34 45 00.

Witnesses should contact police, not intervene, and the appeal gives no further information about what happens next.
