Kylie Minogue, Jonathan Groff and Catherine Tate have joined the voice cast of the animated film Bad Fairies, led by Cynthia Erivo.

Minogue voices Clowder, a cat witch; Groff plays Robin Goodfellow; and Tate plays the Fairy Gothmother.

Erivo voices Jayne Staplegun, the film’s central character.

The musical comedy follows rule-breaking fairies in contemporary London as they disrupt their magical world.

Its songs are being written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, with Isabella “Machine” Summers composing the score and contributing to the songs.

Production is underway in London, with DNEG Animation as digital partner.

The film is scheduled for release in May 2027, though the published dates differ: one account says May 21 and another says May 27.
