Ferrari crashes into a home’s yard in Stanghella; driver unhurt

An Albanian-born entrepreneur from the area crashed his Ferrari in Stanghella, near Padua in northern Italy, late on Sunday, October 11.

He had just left a restaurant and was heading home when the car left the road and entered a home’s yard.

The Ferrari broke through a fence and two gates before hitting a concrete power-line pole.

The driver got out on his own and was unhurt, and no other vehicles were involved.

The car, a Ferrari 296 GTS with 830 horsepower, was badly damaged at the front.

The account says the car lost rear-wheel grip during acceleration, rather than because it was travelling fast.

Carabinieri officers inspected the scene to establish exactly how the crash happened.
