Mandhana says India must improve T20I approach before Zimbabwe series

India captain Smriti Mandhana says the team still needs to improve in T20 cricket despite recent success in international cricket.

India’s women will play Zimbabwe in three T20Is followed by three ODIs, starting on October 16.

The T20Is will be played in Raipur, with the ODIs in Vadodara.

The series is Mandhana’s first assignment as full-time captain.

She wants the T20 matches to help India settle on an approach for the coming months.

The team is preparing for the inaugural Women’s Champions Trophy in February 2027.

Mandhana also praised players who have recently joined the side, and India will use the series to assess its combinations and address areas to improve.
