Nissan to launch electric Primera in the Philippines on November 6
Nissan is bringing back the Primera name for an electric sedan in the Philippines.
The earlier Primera was a mid-size petrol sedan sold in Japan and Europe, and its third generation stopped selling in Japan in 2005.
The new car is an executive electric sedan, a major change from the older sporty model.
It was first shown at the Philippines International Motor Show in June 2026 and is based on Nissan’s N7 electric sedan for China.
Its larger body is nearly five metres long, with Nissan saying the extra size improves room in the cabin, including the back seats.
The N7 has versions with battery capacities of 58 or 73 kilowatt-hours and a stated maximum range of 635 kilometres, but the Primera’s own specifications have not been released.
Nissan plans to announce prices and versions on November 6, when the car goes on sale in the Philippines.
Nissan’s Philippine unit says the electric Primera will be formally launched in the Philippines on November 6.
The car arrived at a port in the country, the company announced on October 22.
