Woman admits bringing puppies illegally from Romania to Switzerland

A woman in Grenchen, Switzerland, admitted bringing two puppies from Romania illegally after claiming she had found them in a forest.

The puppies were about two weeks old when she reported finding them on October 20.

They were taken to an animal shelter and examined by a veterinarian.

The woman had told the vet the puppies were abandoned, so she was advised to notify the police.

Police inquiries found that the woman had brought the puppies into Switzerland herself.

She is being reported for misleading the justice system and illegally importing the animals.

The puppies will stay at the shelter for now, and their later placement is not yet known.
