Former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button says Lance Stroll is finding Aston Martin’s struggles especially hard.
Both Stroll and teammate Fernando Alonso have faced technical failures while driving near the back of the field.
Stroll has retired from 12 of the first 18 grands prix, all because of technical problems, while Alonso has retired six times.
Alonso has scored all seven of Aston Martin’s points this season, with top-10 finishes in Monaco, the Netherlands and Malaysia.
Button says Alonso’s past championships may help him cope, while Stroll’s achievements and ability deserve more recognition.
Stroll has three career podiums and two front-row starts, and has raced alongside several major winners, including Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.
