Jets Say They Do Not Plan to Trade Breece Hall

The New York Jets say they do not plan to trade Breece Hall, despite renewed speculation before next Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline.

Hall is under contract through 2028 after signing a three-year, $43.5 million deal in May.

He has missed five games with a quadriceps injury, and the Jets are preparing for his return this Sunday against Kansas City.

In his absence, Braelon Allen has become a productive lead runner, gaining 504 yards on 93 carries and scoring twice.

That performance may give the Jets more reason to consider offers, although coach Aaron Glenn says the team is not planning to move Hall.

Teams needing a running back are expected to call, especially if they cannot acquire Indianapolis Colts back Jonathan Taylor.

Hall could still be traded if a contender makes a strong offer before the deadline, but that is described as unlikely.
