Russian refinery in Kstovo reportedly hit by overnight drone strike

Reports say a drone strike set the NORSI refinery ablaze overnight on Nov.

1 in Kstovo, Russia.

Ukrainian monitoring channels and Russian outlet ASTRA reported the strike, but it could not be independently verified.

The refinery is about 800 kilometers from Ukraine and is one of Russia’s largest oil-processing sites.

It processes around 15–17 million metric tons of crude a year and produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel.

A previous strike on Aug.

26 damaged the refinery and halted operations; the sources do not say whether it had resumed work before this reported attack.

Ukraine has kept up drone strikes on Russian energy facilities in 2026, targeting sites that help sustain Russia’s war effort, and this remains a developing story.
