Norina Müller named to Switzerland’s women’s ice hockey World Championship team

Norina Müller has made Switzerland’s final squad for the 2026 women’s ice hockey World Championship in Denmark.

The 18-year-old forward, who plays for HC Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies, earned her place after assisting on a goal against the Czech Republic in Sweden.

Switzerland’s coach, Shannon Miller, cut three players from the group: defenders Alizée Aymon and Elena Gaberell, and forward Jade Surdez.

The 25-player squad includes three goaltenders, eight defenders and 14 forwards.

Switzerland opens against the United States on Friday, 6 November, then plays the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany.

The new group format is intended to create more balanced early matches, and the top four teams in each group advance to the quarter-finals.

Switzerland will train in Sweden before travelling to Denmark for its final preparations.
