Samsung’s Android XR glasses may go on sale in South Korea and US in December
A South Korean report says Samsung’s Android XR glasses may go on sale in mid-December in South Korea and the US.
Europe, China and Japan are not expected to be included in the initial release.
Samsung reportedly wants to gauge demand in the two launch markets before expanding availability, as it did with its Galaxy XR headset.
The glasses run Android XR with Gemini and have a camera, microphones and speakers, but no display.
They can translate in real time, give voice directions and organize photos of documents or meetings in the Notes app on a Galaxy phone.
Pricing has not yet been decided, and the report does not say when Samsung might bring the glasses to other regions.
