Nic Claxton Practices Fully as Bulls Near His Return

Chicago Bulls center Nic Claxton took part fully in Sunday’s practice as he works back from a left hamstring strain suffered in training camp in early October.

He was upgraded to doubtful for Monday’s game in Philadelphia, so his return is possible but not confirmed.

The Bulls have started the season 1-5 and have lost twice to Boston by large margins in five days.

Rookie Caleb Wilson said he wants the team to avoid bad habits during its rebuilding season and sees leadership as part of his role.

Coach Tiago Splitter praised Wilson’s aggressive play in the second half against Boston, saying it lifted the team’s effort.

Rebounding has also been a problem, and guard Josh Giddey said he is adjusting to a system that asks him to box out more.

The Bulls’ next game is Monday against the 6-1 Philadelphia 76ers, with Claxton’s availability still uncertain.
